Artwork: The Birth of Flowers Mystical Floral Roots of Light I am hot in December. Leaves cling to deciduous trees. I put on a light wrap previous Decembers predicted. Holiday light colors pop and meld in the ambience of night. A misty rain tickles the skylight. The stars still shine in the daylight. Alone does not diffuse me. In walks love disguised as a cat. Bless this place radiating joy wrapped in the roots and auras of beings.
Artwork: Wake To A New Reality Midnight Mindcraft Even houses snore tic and breathe pulse with atoms and illusions we believe. Every creature fights for rights. One way or another the ego screams “mine.” We lie in our beds wondering if its thunder, gunfire or fireworks flowering. Everything blooms with passion, wilts and dies rejoining the source with no questions. Rivers join the ocean then it rains. Rivers rise again.
Artwork: Woke Frayed Bee With 50 days of triple digit heat we’ve all been huddling in our habitats. I take joy in watering outside in the evening when Ben the Bee greets me. I figure he lives in one of the 3 nests tacked high above our front door outside our vaulted overhang. When I grab the hose he buzzes around me I take it as a hello. I’m never afraid even when he buzzes a few inches from my face. Today he was not there. I missed him a little. Then I saw a bee carcass near where he always appeared. Damn. Maybe he died of thirst. I never considered where a bee got its water. It would have been so easy to leave a dish. I could have helped, maybe. Then I Googled “bee life span.” Its only a few weeks. Maybe it was his time. Strange how I miss this bee. I still think he was saying hello.
