The Showcase Interview
Q: Your default form seems to be a single left margined stanza? Why do you prefer this form?
I don't necessarily prefer it. Usually my first drafts begin in this form and then I look at ways of splitting them into verses. Often I prefer to leave them as a single stanza to keep the flow of the lines. If I do split them into verses I prefer them to be of equal length and each beginning with a new sentence if possible. This is not so important if they are couplets.
